Bundy
Deaconess Bundy was born in the community of Cherry Brook, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Florence Smith. Deaconess Bundy began her spiritual journey at the Cherry Brook United Baptist Church, where she began the first Explorer Group for young girls from 7 to 12, which trained them for joining the CGIT (Canadian Girls in Training) group. She was an active member of the Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF) winning their oratorical contest. Deaconess Bundy received her formal education from the Institute of Technology in Halifax, graduating in 1967 as an Accountant. She moved to Toronto where she worked for the Robert Simpson Company as an accountant for over 14 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Toronto where she served as Superintendent and teacher of Sunday School. Deaconess Bundy continues to play an active role in her Church, serving others and visiting those in the hospital and nursing homes. Deaconess Bundy has two sons Wayne and Eldon.
