Special Screening - DVD documentary entitled
"From These Roots"

Community members gathered at the Black Cultural Centre on Thursday, May 14th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for a screening of the DVD documentary entitled "From These Roots" featuring the story of Nova Scotia's Basket maker Clara Clayton Gough. and her efforts to carry on the artistry passed on from her mother, Edith Drummond Clayton. Basket making is part of the rich tradition of Blacks in Nova Scotia.
