Black Cultural Society for Nova Scotia
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the Black Cultural Society, will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at the Black Cultural Centre (#7 Hwy at Cherry Brook) 1149 Main Street Westphal, Nova Scotia.
The meeting will consist of reports (President, Chief Curator, Treasurer and Committee Chairs), and election of Directors representing the 7 regions:
1. Halifax Regional Municipality,
2. Antigonish/Guysborough,
3. Colchester/Pictou/Cumberland,
4. Hants/Kings/Annapolis,
5. Richmond/Inverness/Cape Breton,
6. Digby/Yarmouth and
7. Shelburne/Queens.
Submission of nominees for the aforementioned Director regions are welcomed and can be addressed to: the Nominating Chair c/o Black Cultural Centre. Nominators and nominees must have an up-to-date membership in the Black Cultural Society.
The Black Cultural Society is a not-for-profit organization, whose mandate is to PROTECT, PRESERVE AND PROMOTE BLACK CULTURE IN NOVA SCOTIA and is the governing body of the Black Cultural Centre (Museum/Library Complex).
